Who runs this site
Haus Europa is a small family-operated holiday apartment at Ahoristrasse 5, 3718 Kandersteg, Switzerland. The site is operated directly by the owner - there is no agency, no marketing platform, and no third-party host reselling your stay.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, and the message you send. These are emailed directly to the owner so we can reply to you.
- Concierge orders (when used): name, email, arrival date, optional booking reference, and any special instructions, so we can shop for and stock the apartment before you arrive.
- Booking: if you book direct, the booking provider (Smoobu) collects the details needed to confirm and bill your stay under its own terms.
- No analytics or advertising cookies are loaded by this site. No tracking pixels, no third-party advertising, no profiling.
How we use it
Strictly to answer your message, prepare your stay, fulfil a concierge order, and meet legal record-keeping obligations. We do not sell, rent, or share your data for marketing.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Lovable Cloud hosts the website and the email delivery queue for messages sent to the owner.
- Smoobu handles direct bookings and availability.
- Stripe processes online payments (when used).
- Email (Google / iCloud): the owner reads and replies from a standard mailbox.
Security
- The site is served exclusively over HTTPS.
- The contact form has anti-spam protection and rejects automated submissions.
- Contact details on the site are revealed only after a click, to reduce scraping.
- Access to backend data is restricted by row-level security; only the owner can view stored records.
Retention
We keep your message and booking-related correspondence only as long as needed to answer you and to comply with Swiss accounting and tax record-keeping rules. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it. Write to the owner using the contact details below and we will respond personally.
